Introduction

Chaverim of South Florida (“Chaverim”) is a volunteer-based organization that provides urgent, non-medical assistance to members of the community throughout South Florida. Our services may include, but are not limited to, car and home lockouts, flat tires, jump starts, out-of-gas assistance, item retrieval, and other community support services.

Chaverim operates six days a week. During Shabbos and Yom Tov, limited services may be available solely for very specific urgent, non-medical situations.

By requesting or accepting assistance from Chaverim, you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

Disclaimer of Liability

No Responsibility for Damage or Loss

Chaverim of South Florida and its volunteers shall not be held responsible for any damage, loss, or harm to vehicles, property, or personal belongings that may occur during or as a result of assistance provided. This includes, but is not limited to, services such as lockouts, tire changes, jump starts, fuel assistance, and item retrieval.

No Responsibility for Personal Injury or Death

Chaverim and its volunteers are not responsible for any personal injury or death that may occur as a result of the assistance provided. Volunteers are community members acting in a voluntary capacity and are not licensed mechanics, electricians, or emergency medical professionals.

Good Samaritan Clause

All Chaverim volunteers act as Good Samaritans, offering help in good faith and to the best of their ability. By requesting and accepting assistance, you acknowledge that outcomes may vary and that services are provided without professional guarantees.

Release and Indemnification

Release of Liability

By requesting or accepting assistance from Chaverim of South Florida, you hereby release, waive, and hold harmless Chaverim, its volunteers, officers, directors, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, or liabilities arising out of or related to the assistance provided, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chaverim of South Florida and its volunteers from any claims, actions, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from your use of or reliance on Chaverim’s services.

General Provisions

Voluntary Participation

All services provided by Chaverim are voluntary. You are under no obligation to accept assistance, and by doing so, you assume all risks associated with the assistance rendered.

No Warranty

Services are provided “as is,” without warranties or guarantees of any kind, whether express or implied.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Acceptance of Terms

By requesting or accepting assistance from Chaverim of South Florida, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
